What logistics will the RISE team handle?

The RISE training team will provide one or two trainers depending on the length of the training. The training team will also provide a laptop, projector, pens, markers, research pamphlets, and handout materials.

What Kind Of Logistics Does My Agency Have To Provide?

The agency receiving the training will need to provide a room that can seat all participants comfortably, adhering to ADA standards. The agency should also provide a projector screen/wall for the curriculum to be projected on.

How Many People Can We Have In The Training Room?

For most trainings, RISE requires a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 participants. For smaller agencies, or in special circumstances, RISE may adjust the requirements.

Will Rise Provide Lunch And Snacks?

RISE does not provide lunch or snacks. If the scheduling agency wants to provide a snack or meal break for their employees, please let the training scheduler know at the time of booking.

Do You Provide Training For Youth?

In select instances, RISE provides training or support directly to youth in systems of care settings. RISE does provide training to peer specialists, advocates, etc.

How Long Does Training Need To Be To Be Effective?

Research has shown that LGBTQ+ inclusivity trainings shorter than 2 hours were completely ineffective and that retention significantly increased when training lengths were increased to a minimum of 3 and 4 hours.
